2013 Peer Programs Awards Listing

Group Awards

MOST INFLUENTIALA group, event or initiative that had the strongest positive impact on Peer Programs and the wider UBC Community.

Criteria:

  • Wide reach in the UBC community (attendance, promotional impact, media attention, etc)
  • Generated significant student interest and engagement

MOST INNOVATIVEA group, event or initiative who that demonstrated fresh and creative thinking.

Criteria:

  • A project, event or initiative that was new this year
  • Demonstrated fresh and creative thinking
  • Generated significant student interest and engagement

BEST COLLABORATIVE – A group(s), event or initiative who best embodied the spirit of working together, sharing ideas and being inclusive.

Criteria:

  • A project, event or initiative that involved two or more Peer Programs, or other groups on campus
  • Equal and inclusive participation from all stakeholders
  • Promoted the spirit of collaboration to the wider Peer Programs and UBC Communities

 

Individual Awards

LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENTA peer who has made outstanding contributions to UBC Peer Programs over the course of 3+ years.

Criteria:

  • 3+ years in Peer Programs
  • Assumed a variety of roles and responsibilities over the years
  • Strong contributions to their individual program(s) and Peer Programs as a whole
  • Lasting impact and legacy

EMERGING LEADERA peer, new to Peer Programs, who demonstrated outstanding growth and development as a leader.

Criteria:

  • 2012/13 was their first year in Peer Programs
  • Continuing with Peer Programs in 2013/14
  • Peer Programs was their first major leadership experience at UBC
  • Demonstrated growth and leadership development over the course of the year

ABOVE & BEYONDA peer who displayed consistent passion, initiative and hard work for all things Peer Programs.

Criteria:

  • Positive contributions to their program and Peer Programs as a whole
  • Outstanding initiative
  • Showed consistent passion for Peer Programs

MOST LIKELY TO BECOME A UBC ADVISORA peer with the skills and personality best suited to becoming an advisor in UBC Peer Programs.

Criteria:

  • Outstanding support of other peers
  • Love for all things Peer Programs
