Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility is the second stream that we offer in our Certificate of Leadership.

Under this stream, you will be able to recognize various dimensions of diversity including: culture; religion; race; class; gender; sexual orientation; disability; and age, and their relationships with power structures. You will develop an awareness of your identity and social responsibility, and act to create a positive change in the Peer Programs, at UBC, and beyond.

There are 2 competencies under this stream:

i) Intercultural and Social Awareness
ii) Civic Engagement

You have the opportunity to complete learning experiences under these competencies that enhance your learning as a peer with UBC Peer Programs!
