As a student and member of the UBC community this year I resolve to help create positive change through my involvements at UBC.
Now this is what I hope to achieve, however, how do I really measure the change I help create? Is it through the quantity or quality? Do I need to have some method of measuring it or do I hope that regardless of the outcome some positive change has occurred and that I can be both satisfied and proud to have been a part of it.
Meaningful change that is what I hope is accomplished this year. This statement may not be specific and actually somewhat vague yet, I believe it represents the future direction of Peer Programs at UBC and that it leaves the door open for the group to create a positive impact amongst students, staff and faculty. This can occur whether it is from the health and wellness tips people receive from the wellness center and/or the knowledge they gain on the diverse cultures we have at UBC from the International Peer Program.
