EMAT1_13-14

EMAT Members Practicing First Aid

Our Program:

The first aid team is comprised of motivated and self-directed student leaders who have a range of experience in providing first aid. Our mission is to increase awareness among students on the UBC-Vancouver campus on a wide range of health and wellness issues in order to further UBC’s Place and Promise commitment of “increasing support for student health and well-being”. EMAT strives to accomplish this mission through effective community outreach initiatives and a dedicated team of first aid responders.

What We Do:

  • Provide first aid services for on campus events
  • Engage students by offering first aid awareness, educational outreach, and harm reduction campaigns
  • Participate in campus-wide disaster management plan and offer disaster preparedness awareness for the UBC community
