Want to stay involved in Peer Programs this Summer? Check out these great opportunities for Peers this summer!
- The Wellness Fair is a big event which takes place each November and involves many partners on campus. The committee planning the Wellness Fair has already started to meet and plan for next year’s Fair on November 1 & 2, 2010. We welcome more student involvement in the planning of the Fair, so if you’re interested and available for 1-2 hours a week this summer, please email Leanne Leung (Wellness Peer Educator) lleung09@gmail.com or visit Kelly White in the Wellness Centre to learn more. Meetings until June are every other week for one hour (usually during the day), and the committee will move to weekly meetings in June/early July. This experience will give you the opportunity to plan a large-scale event, meet new people on campus, and promote health and wellness to the UBC community!
- Project SEEN was an innovative project started this past year, and there are 3-4 videos currently in post-production and will be available soon. The summer is the perfect time to shoot and edit YOUR Project SEEN video, in keeping with the guidelines found here: http://www.peerprograms.ubc.ca/projects/ubc-project-seen/ Videos should be educational, entertaining, and should promote on-campus resources, tips or advice, that support students in any way. For more information contact Kelly White kelly.white@ubc.ca or just visit the CSI to book the video camera and start filming!
