Our Program:
Sustainability Ambassadors organize, promote and deliver sustainability education programming for UBC students. Working closely with the manager of advising and student involvement and the UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) team, Sustainability Ambassadors (SA) develop life-long leadership skills by organizing and planning events, networking with other sustainability-related student groups and fostering peer support for sustainability education. SA’s raise awareness and develop opportunities for UBC students to incorporate sustainability into their studies.
Our Program Goals:
- To raise awareness of sustainability and sustainability education among the student population
- To identify and promote sustainability education opportunities across campus
- To encourage student involvement in – and the incorporation of – sustainability into students’ chosen program
- To discover and develop connections between various sustainability groups on campus and to link these connections with the USI
- To organize, promote and deliver sustainability-related events
Who We Are:
The Sustainability Ambassadors team is a group of 11 undergraduate students representing various faculties at UBC. What we have in common is a passion for sustainability and a desire to encourage our peers to incorporate sustainability into their education at UBC.
