Global Leadership for Social Change Professional Development Series (In-Person Workshops)

**Notes:

  • Open to all UBC Peer Programs members!
  • Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the day!
  • Students attending the entire day of workshops will receive a Global Leadership for Social Change certificate of completion. UBC Peer Programs members can ALSO include all workshops toward their Peer Programs Certificate of Leadership completion!
  • You do not have to attend all the workshops, if there is one or two of greater interest, you can just attend those (registration is for the entire day however).
  • If you are presenting, you still have to register.

UBC Thrive: Building a Respectful Environment at UBC (In-Person Workshop)

The Respectful Environment Statement is introduced to UBC to convoy our freedoms and our responsibilities, and provides the guiding principles to support us in building an environment in which respect, civility, diversity, opportunity and inclusion are valued.

This session will introduce you to the core of the Respectful Environment with opportunities for discussion about its application to daily life situations at UBC.

Solid Networking (In-Person Workshop)

When: Tuesday October 26th, 5:00-6:00 pm

What’s your name? Who is your Hollywood crush? Why did you become a Peer? Come to this workshop to be Event Networking Certified! Through this interactive workshop “4 tips for solid networking and network event planning” will be revealed. These tips and tools are extremely useful in your role this year as a peer in UBC Peer Programs, but also for you future careers as you leave UBC!
