What is it:
The Peer Wellness Coaching is a new initiative at UBC to support students’ well-being and success, by providing individualized coaching sessions (mostly online) to students who need assistance in various areas of personal wellness and self-management skills, such as stress management, healthy lifestyle, time management, goal setting, relationship building, and work/study/life balance.
Who are we:
Peer wellness coaches are a group of senior undergraduate and graduate students who are specially trained in wellness and life skills coaching, interpersonal communication skills, good self-care and professionalism, to help and promote students’ mental health and well-being.
What we do:
Trained peer wellness coaches provide one-on-one coaching sessions (mostly online) to students in all areas of wellness and self-management skills.
With specialized training in wellness and life skills coaching, peer coaches have enhanced self-awareness in their own mental health and well-being, and become role models in the area of wellness and success.
